Tech Neck is a position where shoulders are hunched forward, neck is strained in an uncomfortable angle while you are looking down at the screen. As you crane your neck forward to the screen, muscles begin to tighten and strain.
Purchase a tablet stand holder to elevate your device to significantly to reduce the amount of neck flexion and forward positioning. Try to keep the device as close to eye level as possible. (This is probably the best way to prevent tech neck.)

Tech neck is quickly becoming a debilitating problem in the age of electronic handheld devices.
Chronic pain and discomfort like Tech Neck is frequently caused by too much time positioned unnaturally over a mobile phone or tablet, and creates a host of problems for the neck, spine and shoulders. Some experts even agree that it may lead to disc degeneration and even more severe complications, such as arthritis.
Symptoms include headache, eye strain, back pain, pinched nerves, knotted shoulders, bone spurs, arthritic back discs, and chronic posture problems that may even lead to a reduction in work productivity.
What can you do to combat the poor posture plague of portable media? Dr. Nicholas Mellum, a chiropractor in Richfield, Minnesota, says that the proper posture is to keep the head upright, looking straight ahead at your device.
So, start by placing your tablet PC or eReader at eye level to avoid the ugly, hunched-over posture that causes problems, offering relief from discomfort and strain.
A Levo will help you do just that.
Visit our all new LEVO Store to find out more on how to combat the woes of chronic pain and fatigue caused by frequent electronics use.
Use your new LEVO without any modifications. It works fantastically except your Face ID won’t work, and if you use an Apple Pencil, it also won’t have space to charge on top of your iPad. See option 2 for if you’d like these to work.
Our Dual Clamping Platform/Cradle is designed so you can easily remove any of the Clamping Ends. You can simply remove the top one and ... shazaam, now your Face ID is your friend again, and your pencil will charge on top of your iPad Pro 2018.
I was not aware that these were included with the book holder, so ordered a separate set. I'll find a use for them, so chose not to send them back. It would be helpful if the Bookholder description mentions that these "come with."
After having neck fusion surgery, this has been really helpful in reducing the strain on my neck. It is sturdy and well made! Thank you for making my life easier!
Since I work on an iPad Pro, I’m rolling my levo stand from room to room, and I need to also transport my external keyboard, my earphones, my notepad, and my phone. The basket continently stores all those extra items so I don’t have to make multiple trips.
This is an excellent Tablet Floor Stand that I purchased for my Mom who fell down two stories on Dec 31st, 2022 - she broke her neck, arm and lower back. After spending a month in the hospital, she is now in rehab for OT, PT, etc and is using this LEVO at her bedside and LOVES it. She can only use one hand at this time until she regains the strength to use both hands.
I also purchased another one for virtual interpreting Sign Language work so my hands could be free without having to hold the device and sign freely. It works very well and allows wonderful ergomotion and different height adjustments for sitting and standing.
One of the wheels was broken in the package upon arrival and the company replaced it immediately. There was another issue with a bolt and stripped threads and again the company stepped in to fix the problem with outstanding customer service. Their products are fantastic and well made to last.
The BookHolder does exactly what it claims to do. I can adjust the platform in any number of ways to reduce or eliminate the pain in my neck. It is easy to assemble for one capable person, although it does require some strength. Instructions are very clear, parts fit together precisely (if they don't, loosen and re-fit, especially at base). My neck and I are very happy. I've already recommended it widely. Thank you!
