This replacement part works great! The original clamps were weakening and the entire thing would slip it’s hold. Even though I spent more than I wanted to on the replacement, the new improved column has adjustable screws to tighten or loosen the clamps as needed for a guaranteed longer life. Very pleased with my purchase. Customer service was great too in helping me get the correct part after ordering the wrong one initially. Great company with great products!

Custom Engineered The Extension For Previous Model

I love using my 2016 model EVO stand with the elastic bands but it's too short with my new high posted bed. I knew the height extender I ordered was not for the older model. As a retired Mechanical Engineer, this was a fun project to make it work. I used a hacksaw to cut the original stand lower tube above the base with enough length to overlap the new tube. I cut the new tube shorter just beyond the square punch outs it came with. I then used electrical tape wrapped around the original tube at both ends of the cut section to enough thickness to make an interference fit of the new tube. I fastened a bolt through at the base for stability but not at the top because I still wanted to telescope the original 2 tube sections. It all works great, but I caution not to use the stand with anything heavier than a tablet like my Surface Pro 7. The base counterweight can't handle any additional cantilevered load.

The Levo G2 stand will save us all.

I have my iPad 12.9" (2nd) generation snuggled safely in this very well engineered and very solidly built stand! I have been looking (for years) for a stand that is sturdy, doesn't sag, stands from the floor as opposed to being clipped to my easel, and this is perfect! I'm 6' 2" and I stand when I draw/paint, so I did purchase the G2 Tablet Stand Height Extender. I am genuinely impressed with the quality if materials used. The plastic feels very high quality, like a Zytel nylon. For the price this is a great deal. Now I can now use my iPad for reference as opposed to having to print multiple high resolution images. The cost of the stand and extender is the same as two rounds of ink cartridges and one packet of high quality photo paper. I'm so tempted to take my printer into a field and go full Office Space on it. AND Levo customer service is unparalleled. Thanks Erica!

Love my new Levo bookstand!

I had a Levo bookstand that I got three years ago. Unfortunately, that design failed after two years. This bookstand, the G2, is a much better construction. The design is sturdy and well thought out. I have had mine for three weeks now and I have not had to adjust it once since I set it up! My first one I had to adjust constantly as it would slip in height. I'm looking forward to years of use of the G2 bookstand. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Not sure received correct item

We got a metal tube with a “loop” assembly on one end, not something like the height parts on the levo stand. It almost looks like another arm for the articulating assembly at the top, but can’t see how it would work. I did look at the video for the engender, and that isn’t what we have.

Does the job of increasing height and stability with easy installation

Does the job of increasing height and stability with easy installation. However, there are two limitations that might be significant to some: (1) the extender will limit use of the tablet platform by the height of the collapsed extender, thus probably not suitable for work while seated or on the floor); 2) you will need a 5 lb weight to stabilize the base against tipping over and dumping the laptop on your feet. Overall, this does the job for my needs and I'm very happy with it.

Go for the extra height

The Levo G2 Tablet stand is an awesome product. It holds my phone and my Surface Pro securely and with the adjustability I need for online presentations that are essential right now. I highly recommend adding the Height Extender to give as broad a range of perspectives as possible for camera angles (I need overhead vantage points for my work). I also recommend adding the Pro Clamping Ends. They allow for better clearance of the camera and light lenses on my phone and Surface tablet.

I am reviewing the extender as well as the unit itself I got from Amazon. The Basic unit is great and ideal for what I use it for, which is zooming. Love it. I bought the extender because some venues require that you stand so I needed the extra height. ANd it does just that. In terms of assembly, the how-to-attach video is somewhat confusing as it shows only a portion of the connecting poles. You need to attach the extender after removing the lowest pole from the base. You then use the extender at the bottom, reconnect the original poles above it and then reassemble the base unit as in the original set-up. But even with the brain-challenging addition of the extender, I love it!
